Generation Overwhelmed

I love reading literary debates where people argue a point without even seeing one another's faces.

Here's one that a friend posted of her facebook.

It sheds some good light on us twenty-somethings.

Read it here.

And one thing to keep in mind is that we shouldn't use this as an excuse for our generation... but as a diagnosis. (Credit = Jay Lubow.)

What is our solution?

Our solution is to keep learning, growing, protesting and living our lives the way we believe we should. Because if we don't become who we want to be, the world will never become what we want it to be. We are the voice of the future, and we will be the ones who change the climate of our culture, for better or worse. None of us can do everything... but the more we know, the more we care... the more we can facilitate change. It's OK to feel overwhelmed... no cultural revolution has ever started without some kind of overwhelming feeling. We are on the verge of revolution. At least I hope we are. It's people our age who are going to revolt against the idiocy of our world systems. Let's go!
